Biography
Bayu Wicaksana was born in April, 1984. His first love to music is for 90’s rock bands, such as Guns N Roses, Metallica, Bon Jovi, etc. He started to listen to electronic music since the era of Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, and other electronic bands. In late 2003 he started to listen to electronic dance music when his best friends give him various kind of dance music.
DJ Uyab started his first gig at private parties. After a few performances at private parties, he started to invade the clubs In Jakarta. To name a few clubs there are The Brains, Beyond, Bros Lounge, Black Pearl, Vertigo and others big or small clubs in Jakarta. He also played his first rave gig at 777 Parade, which held by 1945 MF at Gunung Geulis, Bogor. Playing mainly in trance, but he put other genre in his sets also. To him, genre is not a borderline it is all just electronic dance music.
In mid 2007 his friend DJ Chris M asked to join him Reworks Production. Chris M is the founder of Reworks Production. As from that day DJ Uyab has joined Reworks Production. And for the future DJ Uyab & DJ Chris M are preparing them self to improve their playing quality, and trying a new breakthrough in Indonesian Electronic Dance Music Scene.
In 2008 he joined an independent label named TriplePOP Records, owned by his friends from Clubeighties. From now on he hopes to release his first electronic dance music single soon. As he usually did a mash up for his favorite songs.
